Alright, so the other day, I finally got around to applying for my Zambian passport online. It was a bit of a journey, so I thought I’d share my experience for anyone else looking to do the same.

First off, I went searching for the official website where I could start the application. It took a bit of digging, but I eventually found the right place. Once there, I looked for the section to apply for a new passport. I started filling out the online forms with all my details: name, address, you name it.

Next, I had to upload a couple of passport-sized photos. I made sure they were recent and followed all the guidelines they listed, like the right background and size and all that stuff. A little tip from me: double-check these requirements because they can be quite specific!

After that, I had to complete a declaration part. I carefully read through it, ensuring I understood everything, and then confirmed that all the information I provided was correct to the best of my knowledge and belief.

Once all the forms were filled out and the photos were uploaded, I proceeded to the payment section. I double-checked the amount to make sure there were no surprises, then used my card to make the payment. The system processed it, and I got a confirmation email almost immediately. That was a relief!

  • Filled out the application form online.
  • Uploaded two passport-sized photos.
  • Completed and confirmed the declaration.
  • Made the payment and got a confirmation email.

The email said it would take about thirty days to process. It also mentioned that Zambian passports are issued in Lusaka, Ndola, or Livingstone, so I guess mine will be coming from one of those places. Now, it’s just a waiting game. I’ll be keeping an eye on my email for any updates. Hopefully, it all goes smoothly, and I’ll have my new passport in hand soon!

I thought to write down what I did so that you don’t have to wander around too much when you do yours. Hopefully, this helps someone out there!
