They made it sound pretty simple. Turns out, you can just do it all from your computer, no need to go anywhere in person, which was a huge relief.
There was this thing called “Check-Mig” that I had to do too. It’s like, you gotta register your trip with the immigration folks before you go. I guess it’s their way of keeping track of who’s coming in and out. There was also an option for “Frequent Traveler”, but I didn’t need that since it was my first time.
Here’s how I actually did it, step by step:
