Today, I wanna share my experience of getting a Cambodia visa online. It’s actually pretty straightforward, so don’t worry too much if you’re planning a trip there.
First off, I started by doing some research. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of doing a visa on arrival, so I looked into the e-Visa option. I heard that it’s quicker and you can avoid any troubles or inconvenience when entering.
The application process is simple. I filled out the online e-Visa form. It’s pretty standard stuff, nothing too complicated. Just your basic personal information and travel details, all in a secure online form.
After filling out the form, I moved on to the payment. They accept different card types, like VISACard, MasterCard, JCBCard, DinerClubCard, and even Unionpay Alipay and WeChat. I used my VISACard, and it went through without a hitch.

Then, I waited. They say you should get an approval letter within 3 days. Mine came in about 2 days, so that was a relief. Once I got the approval, I printed out two copies of the e-Visa certificate. I was told I’d need these when entering and exiting Cambodia, so I made sure to keep them safe with my passport.
When I arrived in Cambodia, I showed one copy to the immigration officer, and they stamped my passport. Easy peasy! I kept the other copy for when I left the country. That’s pretty much it. It’s not as scary as it might seem, and going the online route is definitely the way to go. Avoids queues and makes your entry into Cambodia smooth.
