So, I decided to take a trip to Myanmar. Beautiful place, but first thing’s first, I needed a visa. Didn’t want to deal with the hassle of going to an embassy, so I thought I’d try getting one online. The eVisa, they call it.
First, I started by searching for where to apply. Found the official site and it seemed pretty straightforward. They had this online form that I had to fill. Needed to put in all my details, like passport info, travel dates, and stuff like that. It was a bit long, but I took my time, making sure everything was correct.
Once I finished filling the form, I had to pay for it. They had different options for payment, but I just used my regular credit card. Paid the fee and then came the waiting game. They said it could take around three days to process.
- Day 1: Submitted the application and got a confirmation email. Nothing to do but wait.
- Day 2: Still waiting. Started to wonder if I did everything right. Checked my email like a hundred times.
- Day 3: Finally! Got an email saying my eVisa was approved. Felt such a relief.
They sent the eVisa as a PDF. Printed it out, just to be safe. It’s valid for 28 days, which is more than enough for my trip.
In the end, getting the Myanmar eVisa online was way easier than I expected. Just fill the form, pay the fee, and wait a few days. I was worried if there would be some issues with my application, but fortunately, it was all good. If you’re planning to visit Myanmar, I definitely recommend doing it this way. Saves you a lot of time and trouble.
