Okay, so I wanted to go to South Korea, right? First thing, I needed a visa. Didn’t have a clue where to start, honestly. I did what everyone does – I started to search it online. Found out that a lot of folks can actually apply for this thing called a K-ETA online, which is like a travel authorization thingy. Sounded simple enough, I thought.
So I went for it. Found the official K-ETA website, not some random one, but the real deal. It had this form that I needed to fill out. Started filling it, basic stuff – name, passport details, you know, the usual. It was a bit of a pain, not gonna lie. Needed to have all my travel plans sorted out beforehand, like where I was gonna stay and stuff.
The Waiting Game
- Submit the Application: Once I double-checked everything, I submitted the form.
- Pay the Fee: There was this fee I had to pay. It wasn’t too bad.
- Wait for Processing: And then, the waiting. They said it could take a few weeks.
The wait was kinda nerve-wracking. Kept checking my email like every five minutes. They said it usually takes about three weeks, but could be longer during busy times. Mine took just about three weeks, which felt like forever. Every day I was like, “Is it here yet? Is it here yet?”
Then, one morning, bam! There it was in my inbox, my K-ETA, all approved and shiny. Felt like I won the lottery, seriously. Printed it out, even though I probably didn’t need to, but I wanted a physical copy, just in case.
Getting that K-ETA was such a relief. It meant I could finally start planning my trip without that visa cloud hanging over me. So, yeah, that’s how I got my South Korea visa online. Not too bad in the end, but definitely a bit of a process.
