Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this idea of getting a Niger passport. Sounds crazy, right? But hear me out. I started digging into it a while back, just out of curiosity, really.
First thing I did was hit up the internet, like anyone would. Typed in “Niger passport” and all that jazz. Got a bunch of hits about visa requirements and passport rankings. Apparently, this thing is ranked pretty low, like 124th in the world, or something like that. But hey, it still gets you into 90 countries visa-free, which isn’t too shabby.
I kept reading, and it turns out, you can actually go to places like Benin, The Central African Republic, Cape Verde, Ecuador, Ghana, The Gambia, Hong Kong, without needing a visa. That’s pretty cool, I guess. But for other countries, I need to figure out some other documents for me and my family.
Then, I found out that all the applications and renewals have to go through some office in Niamey. I had to collect the application paperwork, filled it all out, all those usual things. It is a long and tough process.
Anyway, after weeks of working through the paperwork and the back-and-forth, I finally did it. It took some time to go through those processes, but I have to say, it was quite an experience.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure with the Niger passport. Not something I’d recommend for everyone, but it was definitely an interesting process.
