You wanna buy a North Korean driver’s license online? Lord have mercy, that’s a new one on me. These young folks and their internet, always looking for shortcuts. Back in my day, you wanted something, you went and got it the proper way, no fancy online stuff.
Now, I ain’t no expert on North Korea, mind you. Heard it’s a whole different world over there. But a driver’s license? That’s something you gotta earn, ain’t it? Just like here, gotta show ’em you can handle a car. I remember when I got mine, oh boy, the written test and then the driving test, made my palms sweat.
They say you can go to some office places, weekdays, 9 to 5. Take a test on a computer. That’s the written test. Some places you can take it on the same day when you put your name down. Imagine that, a computer test! We just had paper and pencils. And I heard you could take it in English, too, if you need to.
If you’re just going there for a visit, like a vacation, I heard that your license from here might be okay. But if you’re staying there, living there, I think that’s another matter entirely. Don’t wanna be caught driving with something they don’t want you to use over there. Just like, you know, driving a tractor on the highway. They won’t like it.
I heard some folks talking about North Korean driver’s license. Some people go over there and ask all sorts of questions. They’re curious, I guess. I’m more of a stay-at-home type myself, but to each their own. I did hear that if you’re there you’ll have someone showing you around, a guide and a driver to drive the car, so you won’t be needing to drive by yourself.
And if you really want a North Korean driver’s license, well, you better do your homework. Don’t just listen to any old gossip. Find out the real rules, the real way to do it. You know, they have rules there. And I am sure, they have rules about driving, too. The rules are very important.
Some countries, they trade licenses. Like, you give ’em yours, they give you theirs. But I don’t know about North Korea. Seems like a lot of rigmarole to me. And they gotta check if your license is real, too. Can’t just show up with any old thing. So you need to get papers, like confirmation from the embassy. Those folks will verify everything about your license.
Now, if you’re starting from scratch, no license at all, that’s a whole different ball game. Gotta learn everything, I reckon. They got those driving schools, teach you all the rules of the road. But I heard, for the test, you don’t need to go to one of those schools. You can study by yourself. Lots of folks do that. Study for a few days, then take the test.

And you get it right, pass the test, they give you the license the same day. Can you believe that? In my day, you had to wait weeks. If you fail, you just study some more and come back again. 60 out of 100 is what they are saying about the passing point. That’s not too bad, is it?
But this whole buying a North Korean driver’s license online thing, it just don’t sit right with me. Sounds fishy, like trying to buy a good harvest without planting any seeds. You gotta put in the work, the time. No shortcuts in life, that’s what I always say.
If you’re in the US, and stay in the army, they say you can drive for 30 days with your license. After that, you need something else, like an international permit or a Korean driver’s license. Or maybe one from the army. Lots of rules, I tell ya.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, if you’re gonna do something, do it right. Don’t go looking for easy ways out, especially when it comes to something like a driver’s license. That’s how you get in trouble. And North Korea, well, that’s a place where you don’t wanna be in trouble, I reckon. Just be smart, be careful, and do things the right way. That’s all the advice this old lady can give ya.
