Alright, so I finally got around to getting my North Macedonia ID card. It was a bit of a process, but nothing too crazy. I’m just gonna share what I did in case anyone else is going through the same thing.
First off, I had to figure out what exactly I needed to do. I found some info about ID cards in the Republic of Macedonia, and it said something about needing one if you’re over 18 and a citizen. Well, I’m a citizen now, so I figured I better get on it.
Then I checked and made sure all the data that I needed to fill in. I started filling out the forms. It was just the usual stuff – name, address, you know, the basics. I double-checked everything because I didn’t want any hiccups. I also uploaded my photo and signature. These steps were pretty easy, I just followed the instructions, and I could finish these without Photoshop or other tools in just a few minutes.
Then I just waited. It said online it would take a couple of weeks, and it did. Maybe about three weeks total? Not too bad. I got a notification when it was ready, and I went to pick it up. I think there was a small fee, but it wasn’t much, nothing I can’t handle.
Now I have my shiny new North Macedonia ID card! It’s got the new constitutional name on it, which is cool. I guess they just started doing that. It feels good to have it all official now.
One thing I read is that this ID card isn’t really for international travel. So, I won’t be using it to go to other countries, I’ll stick to my passport for that. But it’s perfect for everyday stuff here in North Macedonia.
So yeah, that’s my story of getting my North Macedonia ID card. Not too exciting, but hopefully, it helps someone out there. Just remember to fill out those forms, pay the fee, and be patient. You’ll get it eventually!
