- Submitted the Application: After double-checking everything, I hit the submit button and crossed my fingers. Now, the waiting game began.
They say the fastest way to get a US visa is the tourist one, and if you are lucky, you can get an appointment quickly, then you will get the visa stamped within four days, but that was not the case for me. Serbia visa took me a while to get it done.
After what felt like forever, I finally got an email saying my application was being processed. Then, another wait. Eventually, another email came through saying I needed to go to the embassy for an interview. “Seriously?” I thought. But hey, gotta do what you gotta do. I scheduled the appointment and went in, a bit nervous if I’m being honest. The interview itself wasn’t too bad. They just asked a few questions about my trip and why I wanted to go to Serbia.
And then, more waiting. Finally, after a few more weeks, I got the good news – my visa was approved! Woohoo! I had to go back to the embassy to get it stamped in my passport, and then I was good to go. Honestly, the whole process took way longer than I expected, but hey, I got the visa in the end, and that’s all that matters. Now, time to plan my trip to Serbia!
