Alright, so I wanted to get a Turkmenistan visa, and let me tell you, it wasn’t a walk in the park. But I figured it out, and I’m here to share the whole process with you guys, just how I did it.
Figuring out the Start
First off, I hit up the web and started digging around. I needed an invitation letter, also known as visa support. You can’t get a visa without this thing.
- Found some travel agencies– These guys can issue an invitation letter.
- Checked their reviews– Gotta make sure they’re legit, right? You don’t want to get scammed.
Getting the Invitation Letter
I picked an agency and sent them my details. Passport copy, when I planned to visit, all that jazz. It took a bit, but finally, I got that precious invitation letter in my email.
- Sent my passport copy– Standard stuff.
- Filled out their forms– Asked about my travel dates, where I’d be staying, you know, the usual.
- Paid the fee– Of course, nothing’s free.
- Waited for about 10 business days– This part was a nail-biter.
Applying for the Visa
With the invitation letter in hand, I could finally apply for the actual visa. I found the online application form, filled it out, and uploaded all the required documents.
- Filled out the online application form– More questions about my trip and personal info.
- Uploaded my invitation letter– The key to the whole thing.
- Uploaded a photo– Gotta look presentable, I guess.
- Paid the visa fee– Another fee, naturally.
The Waiting Game
After submitting everything, all I could do was wait. It was a tense period. I kept checking my email every hour, hoping for some good news. Eventually, the email arrived! My visa was approved!
- Checked my email religiously– Seriously, I was glued to my inbox.
- Received the visa approval– Best email ever!
Getting the Visa on Arrival
Since I chose to get my visa on arrival, I printed out all the documents, packed my bags, and hopped on a plane. When I landed in Turkmenistan, I went straight to the immigration counter, showed them my documents, paid another fee(yep, there’s a fee for getting it on arrival), and boom! Got my visa stamped in my passport.
- Printed out the approval and invitation letter– Just in case.
- Flew to Turkmenistan– Exciting part!
- Paid the visa on arrival fee– Small price to pay, I guess.
- Got my visa stamped– Finally, it was official!
So yeah, that’s how I got my Turkmenistan visa online. It wasn’t super easy, but it was doable. Just be patient, follow the steps, and you’ll get there. I hope my experience helps you on your journey. Good luck!
