Alright, folks, gather ’round, because today I’m gonna walk you through the whole shebang of applying for a Comoros ID card online. Now, I recently went through this myself, so I figured, why not share my experience and maybe save you some headaches?
First things first, you gotta find the right website. I spent a good chunk of time googling and clicking around, but I think I found a site that’s actually helpful, and it is called e-application. I made a note of it for later use, and I suggest you do the same.
Once you’re on the website, you need to find the online application form. There were some other options, like “admission process”, “foreign education recognition”, and “visa process”. But I just ignored those and looked for the application form. It’s pretty straightforward, asking for your basic info – name, date of birth, address, that sort of stuff. I typed all my details in, making sure to double-check everything because you don’t want any typos on your ID, right?
Now, here’s where it gets a tad bit tricky. You gotta upload some documents. I think they asked for a passport photo and proof of Comoros citizenship. Since I didn’t have proof of citizenship, I did some more digging on the website. I found that you can apply for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral studies online between certain dates. This is because I need to get an education recognition from Masaryk University, which is in Czech. I’ll be doing this between September 1st, 2024 and May 31st, 2025.
So, I scanned my documents and uploaded them. I was a bit nervous about this part, honestly. What if the files were too big? What if they weren’t clear enough? But I just followed the instructions on the website to the letter, and it seemed to work out fine.
Next up, payment. Gotta pay the application fee. I found out that you need to file and pay by March 31st. I paid online using my credit card, no problem. There’s also an option to use mobile apps. Online banking and mobile apps are part of our daily lives. They make things like this way easier, don’t they?
After that, you just gotta submit the application. I clicked the “submit” button, held my breath for a second, and bam! Application submitted. I even got a confirmation email, which was a relief.
Now, the waiting game begins. They said it could take a few weeks to process, so I just tried to be patient. I did see some information about applying for an increase in financial support through the Erasmus+ programme, but that wasn’t something I needed.
And guess what? A few weeks later, I got another email saying my application was approved! My ID card arrived in the mail not long after. It felt good to finally have it in my hands.
So, there you have it. My experience applying for a Comoros ID card online. It wasn’t too bad, all things considered. Just make sure you have all your documents ready, follow the instructions carefully, and be patient. Good luck!
