Okay, so I needed to get a visa for Mali, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a process. I started by hitting up the internet to find out what I needed to do. I figured the best place to start was the official website of the Malian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or something like that.
I went to their website, and it was a bit confusing, to be honest. Lots of options and buttons, but I finally found the section for visa applications. You gotta select the type of visa you need, and for me, it was a tourist visa. I clicked on that, and it took me to another page with a bunch of forms to fill out.
I started filling out the forms, basic stuff like my name, passport number, dates of travel, that sort of thing. I also had to write down where I planned to stay in Mali. It took some time, but I got through it.
- Prepare necessary documents: passport, ID photos, etc.
- Fill out the online application form: lots of fields to input.
- Submit the application online: Make sure all information is correct.
- Wait for processing: Took a while.
After submitting the online application, I had to wait. And wait. And wait some more. It felt like it took forever. I was starting to get a bit anxious, wondering if I had done something wrong or if they had lost my application.
Finally, after what felt like ages, I got an email saying my visa application was approved! I was so relieved!
To make a long story short, getting a visa for Mali wasn’t super easy, but I got it done. It just took some patience and making sure I followed all the steps correctly. If you’re planning to go to Mali, just be prepared for a bit of a process, and start your application well in advance!
