Today I’m gonna talk about my experience applying for a Sri Lanka visa online. It’s actually pretty straightforward, so no need to panic if you’re planning a trip there.
First off, I realized that everyone needs a visa to enter Sri Lanka. But for most folks, it seems to be a breeze to get one. So I figured, “Alright, let’s get this done.”
I started by figuring out what type of visa I needed. Turns out, there are a few options like tourist, business, and transit visas. Since I was just going for a vacation, I went for the tourist visa, which they call an “ETA” – Electronic Travel Authorization.
Next, I found out that I could apply for this ETA completely online. No need to physically go to an embassy or anything like that, which was a huge relief. There’s this official website where you can do it all. So, I headed over there and started the application process.
Filling Out the Application
- The application form was pretty simple. You just fill in your basic details like name, passport info, travel dates, and stuff like that.
- I made sure to double-check everything because you don’t want any mistakes on your visa application, right?
Payment
- After filling out the form, I proceeded to the payment section. There’s a fee, of course, but it wasn’t too bad.
- I just paid with my credit card, and it was done in a jiffy.
Processing Time
- Now, this was the part where I was a bit anxious. I wasn’t sure how long it would take to get approved.
- But guess what? It said online that it usually takes about 3 business days, and for me, it was even faster!
- I got an email confirming my ETA approval in just 2 days. Talk about speedy service!
So yeah, that’s pretty much it. I applied for the Sri Lanka ETA online, filled out the form, paid the fee, and got approved in a couple of days. Easy peasy! Now I’m all set for my trip, and I can’t wait to explore that beautiful country. If you’re planning to visit Sri Lanka, don’t sweat the visa process. It’s a piece of cake!
